Kindergarten Readiness

Carrie Bale of the Star Press wrote an article discussing kindergarten readiness in which she questions what it means for a child to be prepared for kindergarten. Bale stresses the importance of having a strong set of experiences that form a foundation on which students build during the school experience, rather than simply knowing “ABC’s and 123s”.
