In a recent opinion article from the Lafayette Journal and Courier, local superintendents warn of low ISTEP scores. Superintendents warn because there is a change in content on the test. Due to this change the curriculum and instruction will need time to align with the test. This article give teachers an insight into why ISTEP scores may be dropping this school year. Hearing this perspective helps teachers to understand that all the blame cannot be put on them for high stakes testing result.
