Two departmentalized teachers share how they integrate their subject matter to make lessons meaningful for their students. There are strategies, lessons, and tips on how they easily manage their cross-curricular planning.
Challenges or Obstacles:
- Challenges can occur if you are sharing the subjects mentioned with another colleague, who is not as vested in cross-curricular planning as you are.
Benefits and Successes:
- Students are much more engaged in their content areas, and easily understand the relationship between their classes.
- Students are learning multiple layers of content among multiple classes.
