Students Rewarded for Good Grades
The goal at Southside Middle School is to promote responsibility and a strong work ethic with students. In order to achieve a positive academic atmosphere, we reward students for good grades. Students who receive a good grade on an assignment, test, or project are identified by their teacher. The teacher then e-mails the student’s name to Mrs. Conner, Student Assistance Coordinator. Mrs. Conner then takes pictures of the students at lunch in front of our Students Who Achieve Good Grades Earn Respect (S.W.A.G.G.E.R.) back drop. The pictures are then posted around the cafeteria. At the end of each month, any student who has been recognized for S.W.A.G.G.E.R. receives a reward including pencils and bookmarks.
