Get Visual"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Visual Cue Cards Enhance Classroom Management<\/h3>\n<p>This summer, I attended a conference on appealing to special needs students.\u00a0 There were many strategies presented about adding more visual elements to your classroom.\u00a0 I felt like I wasn&#8217;t doing enough to appeal to the visual learners in my classroom.\u00a0 This year, I have tried out visual cue cards for classroom management.\u00a0 I will also be presenting best practices strategies on text mapping activities, character posters and some writing activities that use Rory&#8217;s Story Cubes.\u00a0 I received Donors Choose grants that allowed me to buy supplies for these activities.<\/p>\n<h3>Challenges or Obstacles:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>There are a few costs involved in purchasing these items for your classroom.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Benefits and Successes:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>The visual cue cards help students better regulate their own behaviors.<\/li>\n<li>Text mapping helps students interact with texts easier as a group.<\/li>\n<li>The Rory&#8217;s Story Cubes help decrease writer&#8217;s block and increase creativity.<\/li>\n<li>These activities have all increased
