On Monday February 3, a group of fifth graders, along with their mentors from the College Mentors for Kids organization, visited the CTE. A presentation on the importance of technology and research was given by Dr. Matt Stuve. The children were then given iPads and a research/ presentation task. The children used the app This Day in History to look up the date of their birthdays and find an interesting fact in history that happened on that same date. They then used the app Sock Puppets to create an animation that presented their history facts to the rest of the group. Each presentation was projected onto the white board using the Epson projector.
