College Mentors for Kids February 10, 2014

This week, the iStudio hosted a group of fourth graders and their big buddies from the College Mentors for Kids program. After the students heard a presentation on the importance of technology and research, they were given iPads to complete their own research task. The students each chose a country competing in the Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. The children then used the iPads to fine their country’s location and map. They also visited the Sochi Olympics website to learn more about the events their countries were participating as well as the athletes competing in those events and how many medals they had won thus far. The children then used the Epson app to wirelessly connect their iPads to the projector and presented their findings to the rest of the group.

The CTE would like to thank Jenna for facilitating this event.
