A CTE Outreach Partner
The CTE is pleased to support the Ball State chapter of College Mentors for Kids. College Mentors for Kids is an innovative, non-profit organization that pairs youth with local college student mentors for weekly activities that expose youth to the opportunities of higher education.
College Mentors at Ball State
Every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, Ball State’s Chapter of College Mentors hosts roughly 170 area children (mostly from West View, Albany, Eaton, and Royerton Elementary Schools, as well as, over 150 college students from the university. Throughout the year, a bond is formed between the Little Buddy (Child) and the Mentor (College Student) that will last a life time. The Ball State University Chapter focuses on four main activity topics, Higher Education, Community Service, Culture and Diversity, and Economics, to help the Little Buddies gain an understanding of the importance of college for their future.
