The teacher fosters relationships with school colleagues, parents, and agencies in the larger community to support students’ learning and well-being.

When a teacher: gets to know other teachers, parents, when they reach out to agencies to fund the teaching department and trips. If they are willing to get to know students as people and not just their students. When they participate in community event it shows they really do care and want the best for us. It shows they are not a teacher but a role model as well.

The teacher I chose was again Cameron Huffman. He made it a point to know his students on a personal level, work with parents, and participate in events. He made sure you knew he cared. He was not just a teacher, but a friend and mentor. He would reach out to college campuses for optional astrology trips, reach out to park foundations for other environmental trips. We would come and get hands on experience with and knowledge of how our earth worked. He made sure we did well in not only his class but others as well. He made it a point to be involved as well as respectful of privacy. He wanted what was best for his students.
