The teacher needs to be able to take the skills of the students as a whole and then again as individuals to help them succeed. Every student learns differently, there is no guide to teach it is a trail and error process- to find out what works. One of the quickest ways to do this is by making learning fun- because it captures student’s attention faster.
The person I chose for this standard is my friend, neighbor, and biology tutor. I was doing poorly in my freshman year biology class and I needed to get a B or better on the final to pass the class. My friend Hillary did very well in biology so my mom decided to ask her to tutor me. For about two weeks all we did was study for the final. We did this by making cells from play dough, using acronyms, drawings in a week she taught me biology faster and easier then my teacher did in an entire semester. This was because she made it fun and interesting, she taught the way I learned.
