The teacher understands how students differ in their approaches to learning and creates instructional opportunities that are adapted to diverse learners.

A teacher cannot teach in only one way. They cannot only teach to auditory learners, visual learners, or kinesthetic learners. They should find a way to incorporate all three learning styles into each unit. They need to be able to vocally express what they are teaching while the visual Children follow along with a power-point, then afterward have the kinesthetic learners participate in an activity all while learning the material in the correct amount of time. This may take a little longer however all the Children will hopefully understand the material.
The person I chose is my High School Environmental teacher Cameron Huffman. Cameron would give us a lecture while we followed a power point, taking notes. He then would have us participate in a lab where we would be able to use sand, rocks, play dough, and other materials as props. We would then either verbally explain or write down the concepts of that unit. He found a solution that worked in everyone’s favor. The best was when he bought me play dough and markers and told me that when I learned something to pull him aside and we would use the props and review the material that way. It is teachers who inspire children and make them actually interested in learning.
