A teacher needs to be able manage the class. Behavior is very important and teachers cannot reward bad behavior. The teacher may give students the first and last 5 minutes of class to socialize, not giving students a seating chart unless they cannot handle where they sit. It is a reward system if they listen and behave and get a certain class average on a test then they can do something fun on Fridays. It is a way to get children to reach a certain goal and be able to learn and socialize at the same time.
The person I chose was my High School Econ teacher- Mr. Ganzberg. If we listened all week, meaning he did not have to stop and tell us to pay attention or be quiet, and we held a certain average for a test we received a reward. At the end of the week we would do something fun, watch a movie, play a game, or have a study hall. However, if we did not reach these goals then that week and the week after there would be nothing fun on Fridays. It made everyone focus on the teacher and study because there would be a “reward” we wanted at the end of the week.
