Description

In this assignment, you will construct a small multimedia object called a “vodcast.” Vodcasts contain both digital photography or movies and sound, usually spoken narration. This vodcast will convey some form or a message to your audience about a topic you choose. This particular project will follow the same theme as your iPhoto Montage.

INTASC 6 Rationale

The INTASC standard I choose was number 6. Which talks about the knowledge of effective verbal, nonverbal, and media communication techniques to foster active inquiry, collaboration, and supportive interaction in the classroom. This project is perfect for this, there is so much you can do with Garage Band— such as music, and recording, but more importantly a teacher can put up demonstrations. The best part of that is that instead of written directions the teacher can record his or her voice, upload this and the children will always have it and listen to it multiple times. This works great for both visual and auditory learners— they will be able to not only see the step by step progress they will be able to hear exactly what they did. The kinesthetic learners can take this a step further and recreate the lesson at home.
