In this assignment, we constructed a short video about an American historical event. We collected music, movies, and picture to describe he History event we chose.
INTASC 3 Rationale
The INTASC principle that I used was number 3, which says—“The teacher understands how students differ in their approaches to learning and creates instructional opportunities that are adapted to diverse learners.” The iMovie project had us taking a PowerPoint and then incorporating music, videos, and voice-overs—to improve it. This will help Auditory learners when they hear the voice-overs, it helps visual learns since they will be able to see everything. Though for a kinesthetic learner they will learn by actually putting an iMovie together. This can be used in so many different ways especially in Math. The teacher can do Math problems from their lesson and use voice to explain each one. Then make the video available to students, that way the child will be able to watch it over and over—learning at his or her own pace.
