Welcome to the iStudio, the CTE’s interactive learning and research space. RDS has partnered with the CTE to provide its face-to-face services via the iStudio. The iStudio is a “free and open” cooperative learning space where students, faculty, and staff can work together in formal and informal contexts. The iStudio is the RDS’ main vehicle for engaging researchers with our consulting services. Central to the iStudio is a “studio pedagogy”, which RDS employes to support and sustain scholarly collaboration.
The iStudio has numerous technologies for research and teaching that are freely available, including:
- Computers with R, SPSS and other research software.
- Instructional and interactive tools like interactive whiteboards, tablets, document cameras, and learner response systems.
- Videographic tools for classroom and human subject research
- Online systems for content, assessment, reflection, and learning management
CTE staff are available to consult with RDS on these technologies and technology-facilitaed research. RDS will conduct seminars, workshops, and consults in the iStudio. RDS staff have scheduled hours there for walk-in support.
General Open Studio Hours (unless scheduled for an event…see below):
- Monday through Thursdays: 10 AM to 5 PM
- Fridays: 10 AM to 2 PM
