Developing Criminal Law Knowledge and Application in Police Recruits: An application of instructional design and cognitive theory of multimedia learning

The purpose of the study was to determine if an instructional aid composed of various learning strategies and principles facilitated criminal law retention in new police recruits. A secondary hypothesis, data utilizing only the experimental recruit class, was used to assess Moreno and Mayer updated cognitive-affective theory of learning with media.
