PhD in School Psychology
The PhD program in School Psychology at Ball State University prepares students for practicing in the field of health service psychology. This program also allows a pathway for which eligibility to pursue a career as a licensed psychologist is possible.
This program provides students with training experiences to become proficient in the following competencies: psychological assessment, consultation, prevention, intervention, ethical and legal issues, research, and individual and cultural diversity. Also emphasized in the program is professionalism, communication skills, interdisciplinary collaboration, and advocacy.
Graduates of the PhD program in School Psychology often work in schools, private practice, academia, community mental health clinics, and hospitals.
