In response to todays counselors being asked to play a more expansive role in their career, Ball State University offers a graduate certificate in Identity and Leadership Development for Counselors. This completely online program aims to support future counselors in this emerging leadership role, in which responsibilities could include leading your school or organization in creating a vision for teen success, meeting the needs of students from different multicultural backgrounds, or becoming an advocate for your own counseling program.

This certificate is designed for those professionals working with youth, particularly at risk youth, in schools and other settings. There is also an emphasis on engaging and motivating secondary students academically and to help them in the process of making decisions about career development.
