What is this study about?
The purpose of this study is to measure of Computational Thinking (CT) and the factors that might influence the development of CT. CT is a set of cognitive skills for conceptualizing, modeling and solving problems that draw on the concepts and techniques fundamental to computer science, but not necessarily enacted in formal computer programming or systems.
Who is eligible?
- You must be an undergraduate Ball State students or recent graduates of Ball State’s undergraduate CS program, AND
- You are at least 18 years old, AND
- You can read and write English fluently.

Other information:
- Time commitment: 30-75 minutes.
- Research Credits: 2.0 research credits are available to participants in undergraduate Educational Psychology (EDPS) courses that require research participation. For computer science courses that have course-based requirements for research and professional participation, this study can count as one of many options.
- The survey is anonymous and voluntary.
If you have questions, including having the study’s research team come and facilitate this research participation in your course, please contact the principal investigator, Dr. Matthew Stuve.
