Impact of implicit bias training on preservice teacher perceptions of students with disabilities

Research Credit: 1.5 (60-90 minutes)

Method: Online Survey

Purpose and Procedure. This study examines the impact of implicit bias training on the attitudes, knowledge, and beliefs of preservice teachers toward students with disabilities. The study will provide vignettes to allow researchers to investigate preservice teachers’ awareness of bias toward students with disabilities. The vignettes will describe events with students with disabilities in the following categories: ED, SLD, ASD, and ID. The study will investigate the change in psychological flexibility, attitudes, knowledge, and beliefs after training.

Inclusion criteria: At least 18 years of age and enrolled in a pre-service educator preparation program. Other details apply: See the detailed consent form in the link below.
