Master of Arts in School Counseling
Ball State’s Master of Arts in School Counseling prepares you for licensure as a school counselor at all grade levels, as well as to be a change agent in pre-K-12 schools. Our 60 credit hour program will help you develop a professional identity as a school counselor with particular focus on social justice and equity in schools. You’ll experience a range of theoretical perspectives and also be challenged to view students as embedded in a complex system that inevitably shapes their everyday lives. Intensive, supervised practica and internships are required, providing real-life work experience in the application of prevention, intervention, and evaluation techniques in pre-K-12 schools.
