Title: Examining Factors That Influence Learning From Text Passages
Compensation: 1 hour of research credit for your Educational Psychology (EDPS) classes for participating in this study

Purpose and Procedure:The purpose of this research project is to identify the characteristics of undergraduate students that influence their ability to learn from text passages. For this project, you will be asked to complete a series of questionnaires assessing basic demographic information, how you feel about yourself, and the emotions experienced during the experimental procedure. Additionally, you will be asked to read a brief text passage describing important information regarding Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) and Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and will complete a series of questions designed to assess your understanding of the topic.

Inclusion/Exclusion Criteria
To be eligible to participate in this study, you must be at least 18 years old and must currently be enrolled in an educational psychology (EDPS) course.
